An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join an internationally established provider of maritime services.

Previous experience with planning and supervising ship condition surveys, repairs and upgrades.

Responsibilities

You will report to the Technical Services Director and your main accountabilities are:

preparing or reviewing specifications for new build and conversion/repairplanning retrofitting of equipment and life extension of existing shipson-site supervisionperform engineering and naval architectural calculations provide CAD draughting support

CANDIDATE

We are looking for an experienced marine professional for independent engineering work and project management. You should be able to plan and supervise ship condition surveys, repairs and upgrades. Candidates should have experience in ships machinery and piping systems, developments in environmental legislation and propulsion optimisation. Work will involve maintenance, upgrading ships to comply with environmental legislation, implementation of energy efficiency management.

Due to continued expansion our client has an excellent opportunity for a Marine Engineer at their office in Clydebank.

The successful candidate will have sailed in the capacity of 3rd or 4th Engineer

Planned Maintenance Engineer

In order to satisfy current demand, we are seeking an experienced Marine Engineer who is proficient in all aspects of marine engineering and has an excellent understanding of ship specific systems. A thorough knowledge of onboard planned maintenance systems inclusive of stock control and purchasing is required.

Whilst the current position is shore-based, travel to vessels operating Worldwide will be required in order to conduct vessel specific audits, carry out PM system installations, and to provide PM assistance/training.

The position is offered on a permanent basis. In the first instance, a six month trial period will have to be completed to our mutual satisfaction before permanent employee status is attained.

Our client can offer a competitive salary which will be discussed ay interview, paid pro-rata on a monthly basis.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have sailed in the capacity of 3rd or 4th Engineer.
