Our client are currently seeking Non destructive testing Engineers for various positions within their Derby and Warrington Branches

Experience in a relevant industry, such as heavily regulated operations

Working within one of our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) groups you’ll use your skills and experience in undertaking a wide range of activities relating to the development, justification and application of inspection methods to a diverse range of products. As a specialist, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a range of exciting and challenging environments, supporting complex equipment and technology, and working with talented colleagues for whom excellence is always paramount.

We recruit excellence at every level – from recent graduates to experienced professionals, including those with team management experience. Whatever your background, we have a unique range of opportunities in our nuclear business. Nuclear experience and professional NDT qualifications, although an advantage, are not a prerequisite for any role.
Our client actively encourages career growth and training is available to enable employees to reach the required skill levels and attain any necessary professional qualifications.

Primary responsibilities:

• Working across a range of areas, you will be involved in the testing of high integrity components through all stages of life.
• You will operate as part of a close knit team with technical excellence and customer satisfaction high on the agenda.
• You will be responsible for developing and implementing new methods of non-destructive examination, often involving the use of bespoke remotely operated machines.
• With quality paramount to the success of our business, you will be required to demonstrate compliance to relevant company, national, and international standards to a level beyond reproach.

Key skills and qualifications

• Experience, where possible, in a relevant industry, such as heavily regulated operations, or products and services where high levels of reliability and integrity are required.
• Professional qualifications in NDT are highly beneficial (e.g. PCN, SNT, ASNT, MIPS, GUIDE), with the ideal candidate qualified in all major NDT techniques (UT, RT, PT, MT and ET).
• Many inspections use remote automated equipment, and experience in the operation of Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) systems or similar would be favourable.
• A demonstrable ability to work in a highly technical environment, in multidisciplinary teams and to tight deadlines.
• The ability to provide clear, concise and accurate technical reports, and candidates experienced in the production of technical justifications will be at a distinct advantage.

Our team is comprised of a broad range of experts in the fields of engineering, manufacturing, project management and procurement. This is your chance to join them.

Our nuclear business designs, manufactures and maintains key components and systems for nuclear power plants in the UK and around the world.
